Stillage Assembly

  • Ends Assembly: Pull each of the two folding ends to their fully open position
  • Ends Folding: Push post keeper up until it clears the shroud.  Lower end down to base.  Dropping the end repeatedly will damage the stillage and is an OH&S risk to the operators
  • Check Assembly: Make sure each post keeper locates fully over the shroud.  Pulling the end back and forth will help the post keeper to locate firmly.

Stillage Safety Assessment

Before using any stillage, the operator must check that:

  • Pallet feet are not bent or broken
  • Rack runners are in safe usable condition
  • Stillage base is in good condition
  • Posts are not damaged and that stillage can be stacked or stacked onto
  • Post keepers locate firmly

General Loading & Trucking of Stillage

  • Always evenly distribute the loading of product into the stillage as best as possible
  • When stacking stillages, make sure the stillage has interlocked properly before removing the forklift
  • Avoid having heavy loads on top of the stack
  • Open fronted stillage - recommend securing product to stillage before transporting
  • Pallet has no fork tyne guides and can slide around on fork lift

Stillage Damage & Repairs

  • Damaged stillages should be assessed and if deemed to be unsafe, removed from circulation
  • Any time a stillage is removed from circulation, it should be reported to the relevant supervisor
  • Damaged or unsafe stillages are to be returned to Cevol Industries for proper assessment or repair
